Turmeric Hummus

I like hummus as much as I like nut butter! I eat it with vegetable crudities, roasted vegetables or gluten free crackers. So yummy!
It is also quick and simple to make. For a basic hummus you need chickpeas, tahini paste, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic. Making it at home is also less expensive and tastes so much better than buying it from the store.
I made this turmeric hummus a few weeks back and I canโ€™t stop making it! There are many reasons why turmeric is good to eat every day; it is packed with antioxidants, has anti-inflammatory benefits and it helps delay ageing.



Makes: 1 medium size bowl
Preparation time: 10 minutes


  • 1 1/2 cups chickpeas
  • 2 tbsp tahini paste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt



  1. In a high-speed blender blend all the ingredients until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
  3. It will last up to 3 days.
