Green Smoothie with Banana and Almond Butter

A great way to get 4 of your 5 a day in one meal. I like to have this smoothie for breakfast as it gives me the energy for a busy day ahead. It’s packed with vitamins, iron, complete plant-based protein and good fats.

Makes: 1 portion

Preparation time: 5 minutes


  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 large banana
  • 1/2 cup kale
  • 1 – 2 Medjool dates
  • 1 tbsp almond butter


  1. Place all the ingredients into a smoothie maker and whiz up until nicely blended and thick.
  2. Serve immediately.
